#1 in the World and Utterly Unfulfilled

Issue #002

💡 Insight

You know what’s weird?

Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer in the world right now. Like, literally #1.

Winning majors. Banking millions. Stuffing his trophy cabinet.

On paper, he’s living the dream.

And yet...

At a press conference before the Open Championship, he stood in front of a room full of reporters and said:

“This is not a fulfilling life.”

Let that land for a second.

Sound familiar?

Most agents I get into the “coach zone” with—where they share the capital T Truths—have said very similar things.

Many of them are at the top of their respective leaderboards.

Just like Scottie.

In the interview he wasn’t being dramatic. He was being honest.

He said the wins feel good—but only for about two minutes.

Then it’s back to: “What’s for dinner?”

Scottie wasn’t saying golf is meaningless.

He was saying that success can feel empty when it only shows up in one dimension of your life.

I highly recommend watching the five-minute press conference yourself.

It could be one of those rare pieces of content that resonates so deeply, it causes you to reevaluate your business.

That’s what today’s all about:

👉 Success that’s multidimensional

👉 Fulfillment that comes from more than just your business

👉 A life that feels like a win, not just a spreadsheet that says so

Let’s explore that.

🛠️ Resource

When I work with a client to design what it means to be successful for them, I love using the Wheel of Life exercise early on—it forces us to look at success in a more holistic way.

Grab a copy here 👉 The Wheel of Life.pdf

Print off the sheet.

No seriously—this is way more fun on paper.

Look at each of the eight “life areas” and ask yourself:

How satisfied am I in this area of my life?

On a scale of 1–10, give each area a score. (1 = least satisfied. You know the drill.)

Shade in each section from 0 up to your score.

Now step back and look at the whole thing.

If that wheel came off the page and onto a bicycle...how smooth would the ride be?

If you’re like virtually every person I’ve ever done this exercise with—including Mandy and me—there’s at least one bumpy area.

And that’s okay.

This isn’t a picture of forever.

It’s a snapshot of now.

Next, look at the lowest-scoring area and create a plan to increase your level of satisfaction there.

For the zero to hero, big shooters—I’m not saying it needs to go from 3 to 10 overnight.

I’m a fan of trying to increase that score by 1–2 points in the next 90 days.

Which brings us to…

✅ Action

After you’ve identified your lowest scoring area, ask yourself:

  • What would I like this score to be 90 days from now?
  • What would that look like?
  • What would I need to say YES to in order to make that happen?
  • What would I need to say NO to?

Don’t try to fix your whole life overnight.

Pick one area.

Focus.

Make a move.

Watch what shifts.

Then do it again.

In Your Corner,

Coach B

P.S.

This weekend, Mandy and I attended the most opulent wedding we’ve ever been to—string quartets, fireworks, a dress that belonged in a museum. It was the wedding of one of my coaching clients, and while I’ve helped him grow his business, watching him marry the love of his life reminded me that the real fulfillment isn’t just in better systems or higher sales—it’s in witnessing lives transform. 📸 Take a peek at the magic here.
