Are You Ready to 10x Your Future?

You work hard.

What would you say if I told you that you could double or triple your results by doing less.

I know. Sounds kinda like sleazy internet marketer talk…

But it’s true. Not only have I experienced it, but I have helped many others do the same.

The key to unlocking that level of results while decreasing your effort lies not in how much time you put in each day, but what you do with it.

This is where 2x versus 10x activities come into play.

2x activities are the ones you’ve grown accustomed to in building your career:

Hosting open houses, handling your paperwork, giving your epic two-hour listing presentation.

It’s the blood, sweat and tears part of your business. You can quantify the work and often see the direct benefits of it.

10x activities, on the other hand, require you to put in effort up front with little to no indication of whether it's working.

Kinda like planting an apple tree..it takes time before it bears fruit.

So let’s get planting:

  • Open houses can be eliminated by introducing a 10x marketing plan. Stop chasing leads, start attracting clients.
  • Handling paperwork can be delegated by hiring a part-time VA. Stop the soul sucking work.
  • Epic two hour listing presentations can be automated by a pre-listing process. Stop selling at the appointment, because they are already “sold” on you before you get there.

2x is the obvious path.

10x is the optimal one.

Every time you complete a 10x activity, you’ve built an asset that will pay you back dividends in terms of time, money and energy.

As my mentor said to me:

2x is how you pay your bills.

10x is how you build your wealth.

Where are you spending your time?

How valuable and energizing are the things you’re doing?

From there, make your power move:

Spend less time on the low value & energy draining tasks.

Invest more time on the high value & energy giving tasks.

What is one 10x asset you can invest some time, money and energy in now that would pay dividends in the future?

  • Is it launching your YouTube strategy so you can attract instead of chase clients?
  • Is it developing your “stay in touch” database marketing so you can replace cold internet leads with warm referrals?
  • Is it hiring that assistant, to take 10 to 20 hours a week of admin off your plate so you can elevate your attention to more valuable things?
  • Or maybe it’s bringing on that buyer's agent who can help take the more reactive time consuming side of the business off your calendar, so you can focus on generating more leverage through listings.

PS, a few weeks ago, a close friend of mine sprouted a seedling bonsai tree for me and gave it to me as a gift. He told me It will probably take 2 to 3 years of care before it’s fully grown and I can start shaping it. I find in the Insta culture we live in, the idea of caring for something for 2 to 3 years without the payoff to be very exciting. I know when it’s grown and I get to attend to it will be very gratifying. Kind of like a 10x activity can be.
